The Trestle Bakery - Cafe
This is Letty Smith, a very successful entrepreneur in Conway, SC. In addition to the cafe and bakery, two buildings, two businesses, she caters and has performed with excellence for a group of 2500 Vietnam Vets, breakfast, snack, lunch, snack and then dinner. She and her husband have owned the business for 10 years. Talk about energy and courtesy. She is a hero. Compete with the giants? "Service, excellent food and always smile." Letty was in the process of producing a catering job for 200 people, and was hustling with of staff of many. Yet she still made time to speak with me, and two more times to give me more information. There are two distinct businesses. The Bakery, and the Cafe and Catering. Owned by Letty and Greg Smith, and obviously working together. The BakeryThis is Anne who I took completely by surprise. Letty urged me to visit their bakery and I did unannounced and with the flyer, but she handled it with aplomb. Nice work Anne. They have done a magnificent job with the brick wall. This is the right side of the store. The back counter where anyone taking a picture gets a picture of their logo. Good. Larger picture of the logo. It works very well and is a representation of the trestle which leads into town. Very nice seating arrangements opposite the bakery counters. Wedding cakes they make displayed in the window. Thank you Anne and Letty for your courtesy. I think the pictures tell a thousand stories. I was referred to Letty Smith by Margaret Curry, proprietor of Coffee Etc.
The CafeBarbara on the right manages the front end of the cafe and has done so for five or more years. Every table in the cafe is done in pink and is very effective against the black and white motiff. The cafe is environmentally proactive. An additional dining room on the second floor.
